Adela Calleros

Adela Calleros passed away peacefully at home on October 25, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by her loving family. She had recently been diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer, which had spread to her liver.

Even in the face of her diagnosis, Adela’s faith remained strong. She reassured her family and friends that she was at peace, saying she felt the outcome would be a “win-win”—“to live is to be with family, and to die is to be with the Lord.”

Adela was born on May 8, 1960, in El Paso, Texas. Raised in Las Vegas, NV. She later moved to California and eventually made Las Vegas her home. A gifted beautician, she worked for many years in local salons, most notably running her own business, El y Ella, on Main and Wyoming. In later years she enjoyed driving for Uber and Lyft, meeting new people and sharing her warmth with everyone she encountered. After semi-retiring, Adela devoted her time to the things that brought her joy—gardening, painting, and caring for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and Jesús Calleros, and her sister Rosa. She is survived by her three sons; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her brother Jesús (Jesse); and her sisters Nohemy and Rebecca, cousins and countless nieces and nephews.

Adela’s faith, resilience, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

May the memory of Adela “Chula” be a blessing to all whose lives she graced.

Adela Calleros falleció pacíficamente en su hogar el 25 de octubre de 2025, en Las Vegas, Nevada, rodeada del amor de su familia. Recientemente había sido diagnosticada con cáncer de esófago en etapa 4, el cual se había extendido a su hígado.

Aun frente a su diagnóstico, la fe de Adela permaneció firme. Reconfortó a sus familiares y amigos asegurándoles que estaba en paz, diciendo que el resultado sería un “ganar-ganar”: “vivir es estar con la familia, y morir es estar con el Señor”.

Adela nació el 8 de mayo de 1960 en El Paso, Texas. Más tarde se mudó a California y finalmente estableció su hogar en Las Vegas. Una talentosa cosmetóloga, trabajó durante muchos años en salones locales y, en especial, en su propio negocio, El y Ella, ubicado en Main y Wyoming. En sus últimos años trabajó como conductora de Uber y Lyft, donde disfrutaba conocer gente nueva y compartir su calidez con todos. Tras semi-retirarse, dedicó su tiempo a las cosas que más amaba: jardinería, pintura y su familia.

Le preceden en muerte sus padres, Bertha y Jesús Calleros, y su hermana Rosa. Les sobreviven sus tres hijos; ocho nietos; un bisnieto; su hermano Jesús; y sus hermanas Nohemy y Rebecca.

La fe, la fortaleza y la dulzura de Adela dejaron huella en todos los que la conocieron. La extrañaremos profundamente.
