Adrian P. Boi, 80, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. Adrian was born in Bristol, Conn., and after attending Bristol schools, he graduated from the University of Bridgeport with his teaching degree. He lived and worked in Las Vegas since 1960's where he taught school until his retirement. His gift of working with children continued with coaching several elementary school sports and tutoring students in reading. He enjoyed spending his summers hiking and fishing in the northwest United States and spent many summers on the coast of Maine. Adrian worked part-time at Angel Park Golf Course in Las Vegas, where he fulfilled his passion for the game. He also enjoyed gathering at Starbucks with "the guys" where they enthusiastically discussed golf and politics. Adrian also took great pride in restoring his 1959 Jaguar. He was predeceased by his father, John F. Boi; mother, Assunta Arzzu Boi; brother, Anthony F. Boi; and sisters, Anna Doyle and Josephine Hartman. He is survived by his brother, August and his wife, Anita, of Bristol; sister- in-law, Marie Boi of Bristol; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the convenience of the family in Connecticut. Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Foundation.
