Albert Downs Burns Jr.

Albert “AL” Downs Burns, Jr., age 73, of Seguin, Texas passed away the morning of Thursday, June 22nd, 2023 near his home in Las Vegas.

Albert was born in Seguin, Texas on July 28,1949 and resided in California and Las Vegas most of his life.  He moved to Los Angeles at the age of 7. He was a 1967 graduate of Manual Arts High School located in Los Angeles, California.  He started working for grocery stores when he was a teenager, and he moved up the ladder and continued his career in the grocery store business as Service Manager where he later retired from the Kroger Company.  He moved from Lake View Terrace, California in 1999 to Las Vegas where he and his late wife Nina settled down until their passings.

In his free time, he loved bass fishing, restoring cars, racing RC planes, listening to music, spending time with friends and family, and watching sports and westerns.

Albert is preceded in death by his wife Nina Burns and his father Albert Burns, Sr.

He is survived by his loving Mother Dorothy Winn of Las Vegas, Sister Carlotta Winn of Las Vegas, Nevada, Brother Charles “Chuck” Winn of Los Angeles, California, Daughter TraNesha Burns of Los Angeles, California, Son Deaunte (Rocio) Washington of Lake View Terrace, California, Daughter Shanna (Gerome) Egans of West Covina, California, and Son Albert (Natasha) Burns, III of Las Vegas, Nevada.  His grandchildren include Christian, Amber, Hailey, Kaila, Kendall, Heavenly, Thomas, Mikyi, and Zion.

A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on Friday, July 14th at 6pm at 2620 Regatta Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89128, in the Grand Garden Room.
