Alex "Papa" Lujan III, 52, of Las Vegas, passed away Feb. 15, 2012. He was born Sept. 2, 1959 in Albuquerque, N.M., and was a 17-year resident of Nevada. Alex was a local businessman and 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was very active in the community and his church. He loved camping and fishing. In addition to his love for his wife and family he loved with a passion the Denver Broncos. Alex was loved by all, especially his grandchildren who he always made laugh. Alex's warm spirit touched so many lives, and he will be missed but never forgotten. He is survived by his father, Alex Lujan II; mother, Bonnie Kitzman; grandmother, Bertha Lujan; wife, Rose Lujan; sons, Anthony, Albert, Adrian, Gabriel, and Michael, and all their wives; brothers, Wayne and David Lujan, and their wives; 14 grandchildren; countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and family. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 20, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Services will be at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21, at St. Francis de Sales, 1111 N. Michael Way Las Vegas.
