Alice Mae Hutchinson, 78, of Las Vegas, went to be with the Lord May 19, 2013. Alice was born in Center, N.D., May 13, 1935, to Frank and Ruth Etherington, the third of seven children. She was raised on a farm there until she moved to Rapid City, S.D., where she met and fell in love with Robert Hutchinson, whom she married three weeks later, May 3, 1964. She had unconditional love for her family. She loved farm life, horses, photography, gardening (especially her giant pumpkins), motorcycles, collecting books, garage shopping, genealogy, magnolia trees, and raising her geese. Everything she did, she did with her unmistakable style. Her strong-willed personality to do whatever she wanted to do was a thrill to be part of. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hutchinson; sister, Jean Krank; and brother, Frank Etherington. She leaves behind four loving children, Johnny Milks, Ionea Milks, Raymond Smith and Douglas Carlson; grandchildren, Jennifer and Chris Yanez, Christina DeJoria, Allen Carlson, Jessica Carlson and Patricia Hutchinson; her sister, Rose and brother-in-law, Claude Lumpkin; brothers, Jack Etherington, Walt Etherington, Billy Etherington and sister-in-law, Bernice Etherington; great-grandchildren, Justin and Makayla Yanez and Jana Hutchinson. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Services will be at 9:20 a.m. Friday, May 24, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City.
