Amy Elizabeth Ricketts Davis Knell lived a wonderful life. Born October 11, 1927 in Richfield Utah spending her early years in Antimony Utah. Amy passed away June 3, 2016 in her home in North Las Vegas Nevada. Amy loved her family that started in 1945 when she married Dean S Davis (deceased) in Las Vegas Nevada. They were blessed with three children Linda Davis Francis, Wallace Lamond Davis (decease), and Lyle Alan Davis. They later divorced and she married Walter Leo Knell (deceased) in 1981 in the St. George Temple. Amy was then blessed with five stepchildren, David Knell, Margaret Knell Froyd, Martha Knell Bradford, Patricia Knell Muni, and Inez Knell Davis. At her passing she has 5 siblings Bud Ricketts (deceased), Max Ricketts, Janet Ricketts Anderson, Leland Ardell Ricketts (deceased) and Gloria Ricketts Porter, 30 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren ( 2 more coming in 2016) and 3 great great granschildren. Amy had good work ethics and worked in various restaurants, retail stores where she was a buyer for Vegas Village for many years, a tutor with America Corp and as a partner in her husbands landscaping business. After her marriage to Leo Knell she took up piano and painting and some tap dancing. Amy is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved serving the Lord holding many positions of service and teaching. She enjoyed her time as a stake and ward Relief Society President. She was most recently a Temple worker in the Las Vegas Temple until her health no longer made it possible to serve. Funeral services are Saturday June 11, 2016 with services starting at 11:00 at the chapel located 2555 N Jones, Las Vegas, NV with viewings Friday 4:00 to 8:00 at Bunker Mortuary and Saturday 10:00 at the chapel prior to the services.
