Amy W Nelson

Amy Alice Whitehouse Nelson, of Henderson, Nevada peacefully passed away surrounded by family January 14, 2021 at the age of 96. Amy was the oldest of six children born to Stanley and Sarah Whitehouse in Pine Canyon, Utah. Amy and her family moved to Tooele, Utah when she was 5 years old. After graduating high school in 1943 Amy worked at the Army Depot. Amy met her future husband Alvin "Ab" Simpson Nelson of Tooele, Utah at a dance. They were married in her parents living room, February 12, 1945. Amy and Ab moved their family to Henderson, Nevada in 1950 where they lived the rest of their lives. Amy and Ab were married for 63 years before Ab passed away in 2008. Amy and Ab have 4 children, Barbara (James) Whetstone, Dennis Nelson, Wendy (James) Meneley, & Janet (Glen) Arington. Amy missed her husband dearly and is now reunited with him and their daughter Wendy. God be with you till we meet again, Grandma Amy.

Amy was proceeded in death by her parents Stanley and Sarah Whitehouse, her brother Bud Whitehouse, her husband Ab Nelson, and her daughter Wendy Meneley. She is survived by her son and two daughters, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
