Andres Chaidez-Mendoza

November 30, 1948 — July 20, 2021

Andres Mendoza Chaidez (Andy) born in San Miguel de los lobos Tepehuanes, Durango November 30, 1948. My handsome , kind, loving, funny, big hearted father passed away on July 20, 2021. Andres has been a resident of Las Vegas since he came from Mexico when was 18 years old. He worked at Denny's for 17 years. He married my mother Ramona Chaidez in 1975. He began working at Excalibur in 1991. He loved working and meeting new people and enjoyed each and every one of his co workers. I know they were his second family. My dad wanted to return to work, when everything was opening back up from the pandemic. I asked him not to and to just retire but he wanted to try and go back and he did for 5 days . His first day off he was starting to feel ill, never returned back to work. He worked 30 years at Excalibur. My dad enjoyed gambling, doing woodwork, spending time with his brothers and sisters. He loved seeing and being with his daughter and his grandkids and great grandkids. He was always so full of life and enjoyed his music and dancing. He always carried his portable speaker around every where he went. He enjoyed going to Silver Nugget and Jerry's Nugget, Those were his homes as well.

Andres is preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Ramona DeLeon Chaidez who passed away in April 2017. Preceded by his parents Carmen Mendoza and Eustorgio Aguilera Chaidez.Preceded in death by his step daughter Virginia Rubio and step daughter Teresa Sosa. Preceded in death by his brother Ruperto Chaidez and sister Maria Chaidez.

Andres had many other grandkids who he seen as his own and loved very much.

My father will be missed dearly and has touched so many lives. My dad had love for everyone. It will be very hard to continue my life without him. With God's faith and strength , we will get through. I will cherish all the beautiful memories I have of him good and bad because that's what made our love special. I will always be Daddy's girl. Till we see each other again Dad. Kiss and hug my momma for us. Rest peacefully in paradise Papa. Love you forever . I thank god for all the time we spent together.

Your life was a blessing , your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

Dad, I was his Angel now he's mine.
