Angel Manuel Serrano

Angel Manuel Serrano was born on July 6, 1972, in Salinas, California, and was baptized that same year at Cristo Rey Church. He grew up in Salinas, attending Santa Rita Elementary School and later graduating from North Salinas High School in 1990. From a young age, Angel loved the outdoors —especially soccer, camping, and hiking — passions that stayed with him throughout his life. In California, Angel worked for Safeway before moving to Las Vegas in 1997, where he began a new chapter working at the Mirage Casino. While in Las Vegas, he pursued his interest in plants and nature by studying horticulture at UNLV. On June 30, 2000, Angel married the love of his life, Elvia Flores. Together they shared a beautiful life and a deep bond, along with their three beloved dogs. His last companion, Vato, remained faithfully by his side until Angel’s final day. Angel passed away on May 11, 2026. He is preceded in death by his cherished wife, Elvia, and his niece, Cassandra. He is survived by his parents, Onesimo and Julia Serrano; his sister, Anna Serrano; his nephews Gavino and Isaac; and his greatnieces Delilah and Genesis, and greatnephew Jason. Angel will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his love of nature, and the deep devotion he held for his family and pets.

Angel Manuel Serrano nació el 6 de julio de 1972 en Salinas, California, y fue bautizado ese mismo año en la Iglesia Cristo Rey. Creció en Salinas, donde asistió a la escuela primaria Santa Rita y más tarde se graduó de North Salinas High School en 1990. Desde joven, Angel disfrutó profundamente del aire libre: le encantaba jugar fútbol, acampar y hacer caminatas, actividades que siempre formaron parte de su vida. En California trabajó para Safeway, y en 1997 se mudó a Las Vegas para comenzar una nueva etapa.
