Angelo Thomas Demarco

June 15, 1945 — June 15, 2023

Angelo Thomas DeMarco, 78, passed away on June 15, 2023 at his home in Las Vegas, NV.  Tom was born on June 15, 1945, in San Bernardino, California to Joseph Phillip DeMarco and Miriam Schwartz. He lived in California until he was ten years old at which time his family moved to Las Vegas, NV. Tom attended Western High School and played on the football, basketball, and baseball teams and was crowned Prom King. He graduated from Western High School in 1963 and received an athletic scholarship to play baseball at Brigham Young University where he was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Laterday Saints and was baptized in 1964. Tom served a two-year mission in Italy in 1966-1969 for the church. After his mission he met the love of his life, Janet. They were married and sealed for eternity in the St. George Temple on August 29, 1969, just three months from the day they met. They returned to BYU together where Tom earned a B.A. in Political Science. Tom and his wife Janet moved from Las Vegas for 20 years during which time they lived in Provo, Utah; La Puente, CA; Cincinnati, OH; and Dallas, TX before returning to Las Vegas to finish rearing their family. Tom was an entrepreneur, inventor, and dreamer. In the 1980s, Tom invented a sport “Bulletball” and had a league with multiple teams competing for several seasons.

Tom and Janet started their own small business in Las Vegas, A-1 Processing and ran it for several decades before they retired in 2011. Tom’s life was defined by his dedication to the church and his family and his compassionate and service to his friends and community. He served as a Seminar teacher, a Temple worker, and all other auxiliaries in the LDS Church. His happiest moments were when he was in the service of Heavenly Father and when surrounded by his family and friends. He was an exceptional father who lovingly taught his children and grandchildren to be adventurous and find joy in life. His testimony of the divinity of the Savior and the restoration of His church was unmovable. Tom is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Miriam DeMarco English (Bill), his five children and their spouses; Michelle DeMarco-Poulsen (Chad) of St. George, UT; Brian Thomas DeMarco (Tricia) of St. George, UT; David Lang DeMarco (Jena) of Naperville, IL; Jennie DeMarco of Georgetown, TX and Jason Schwartz DeMarco (Gina) of Las Vegas, NV, his twenty-four grandchildren Kylee Baker (Derek), Katelyn Leavitt (Greg), Christopher Poulsen (Sydnee), Connor Poulsen, Haley Poulsen, Whitney Aino (Hunter), Angelo James DeMarco, Luke Davenport, Tyler Davenport, Adona DeMarco, Giana DeMarco, Bryner DeMarco, Guiliana DeMarco, Liliana DeMarco, Thomas DeMarco, Michael DeMarco, Hyrum DeMarco, Jarom DeMarco, Adriana DeMarco, Arabella DeMarco, Brigham DeMarco, and Antonia DeMarco, and his one greatgrandchild (Tucker Leavitt).  He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and siblings Joseph DeMarco, Michael DeMarco, and Elizabeth DeMarco.
