Anna M Colbert

August 16, 1924 — July 28, 2023

-Anna Mae Colbert was born into time on 16 August 1924 in Hitchcock, Oklahoma to Fannie Fitzgerald (Owens) and Filmore Davis, and raised by her Great Grandmother. She married first husband Baby Ray Anthony and together had one child, Gladys Marie, who proceeded in her death at 9 mos. Old.  Anna entered eternity on 28 July 2023

-Anna moved to Los Angles, Calif.  It was there that she met Ben Sparks and married. With that union she gained a Stepdaughter Chrystal Eastland (Sparks), whom she welcomed and treated as her very own Child.  She had two Grand Children, Rev. Dana L. Wallace (Eastland) whom she helped raise, and Kenneth O. Hall, who preceded her in death. And a Foster Son Melvin (A.G.) Hickman.  Anna resided in Los Angeles 62 years.

- Later, Anna Mae met Kirby Ray Colbert, on 19 July 1982 they married, and continued to reside in Los Angeles until deciding to relocate to Andalusia, Alabama, in 1991.  The two later relocated to Las Vegas, NV where she resided until her death.  While residing in North Las Vegas, she and Ray adopted her beloved Cadarius Colbert (Grandson). He became their Son, and they proudly became Mama and Daddy. Cadarius was a joy for the both of them. They showered him with unconditional love.

-Anna was a member of One Body in Christ Christian Church. She loved the Lord, Her church family, and a host of Family and Friends. She has been blessed to be a Grandmother of two, Great-Grandmother of 8 and Great-Great Grandmother of 7 and loved every moment of it.

- One  Body in Christ Christian Church family was deeply loved and appreciated by Anna and the Colbert Family.  She spoke of them with much love and admiration often. And, felt very blessed to have been in fellowship with One Body Church until her passing, and loved being called Mama Ann.

-Anna loved life, having grand parties, entertaining, and playing cards, especially her card club that she affectionally called, “The Golden Girls”. She loved her plants, crafts, decorating and painting.  And her sowing was unmatched as she was a Master Seamstress.

-Anna had a smile that would light up a room, a personality as grand as a room and a heart that had plenty of room.  She would welcome everyone upon arrival with her signature exclamation…” Well, Hello There”!

Anna will be missed. Yet she will live through all those who knew and loved her.  For she was the beloved Mrs. Ann to many.
