Annette Carlson (nee Tice) stepped into Heaven Friday, July 15, 2016. She was born Oct. 20, 1936, in Oklahoma City. Annette married LeRoy James Carlson Sept. 30, 1957. Annette moved to Japan with LeRoy and had two children, Lee Ann and John. In 1962, LeRoy was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, where they decided to call home. Annette had three more children, Martha, LeRoy Jr. and Bennett. Annette stayed at home and enjoyed raising her children. She also enjoyed sewing, tap dancing, gardening and cats. As the children grew, she starting working at the Nellis Baptist Daycare and later at the Clark County School District. She enjoyed being involved in her children interests. She especially enjoyed showing up at the cars shows where her sons showed their cars. Annette was also dedicated to her church and Sunday School preschool children. She taught at Nellis Air Force Base Chapel and later at Nellis Baptist Church for over 50 years. She also would fill the car and take all the neighborhood children to church activities. She was preceded in death by her husband.Annette is survived by her sister, Carolyn Bayes; five children; three grandchildren, James, Amber and Chelsea; and three great-grandchildren, Jay Wesley, Jena, and Shanna. Celebration of Annette's life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Nellis Baptist Church, 4300 Las Vegas Blvd.
