Austin Leo McClary, age 23, of Las Vegas NV, died on December 23, 2016. He was in a car accident, in Las Vegas, and did not survive his injures.
Austin was born on January 28, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nv. His parents are Kevin and Michelle McClary. Austin is the third born of five children, having two brothers and two sisters. He was not married, but as been with his high school sweet heart, fiancé Erika Carpenter.
Austin attended K-12 grades at Indian Springs Schools and graduated high school in June of 2011. He attended one year of college. He has worked at various jobs. His interests were toward law enforcement, so like father, like son, Austin become a police officer. He was accepted into the 05-2016 LVMPD Academy. He graduated on December 1st and was still in field training, when he died. Austin was kind, loving, funny, silly at times, friendly, and loved his family. He wanted to help and serve others, every chance he could. He is survived by his fiancé Erika Carpenter, father, Kevin McClary, mother Michelle (Kirk) McClary, brothers Morgan and Jonathan McClary, sisters Katelynd (Hicks) and Lauren McClary. He is uncle to two nephews and four nieces. The family called him awesome Austin. Austin had many friends and he will be missed. His laugh, his smile, his sense of humor, etc. The family invites those who would like to attend the memorial services for Austin. It will be held at 12noon on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the LDS church on Jones and Dorrell. The address is 6051 Dorrell Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89131. Per Austin's wishes, he was cremated. There is no viewing or interment.
