Barbara M. Dieffenbaugh

Barbara Marie Dieffenbaugh, 77, a retired from data processing, of Las Vegas, passed away March 9, 2012. She was born March 1, 1935, in Dalton, Neb., and was a 47-year resident. Barbara was an avid reader of mystery and romance novels and enjoyed spending time observing the desert flowers and mountains that surround the valley. Barbara has been a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church since 1992. Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers, Chuck and Harry Scott; and sisters, Betty Johnson, and Virginia Hinman. She is survived by her husband, of 41 years, Earl Dieffenbaugh; her stepchildren, Connie, Cathy, Mike, and Christy: her sisters, Donna Copeland, Hazel Williams; her brothers, Raymond and Erwin Scott; and 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at Spring Valley Baptist Church, 3135 S. Rainbow Blvd.
