Barbara Tine Theresa Faataitai, lovingly known as “Barbie,” was born on December 17th, 1975, in Honolulu, Hawaii and entered eternal rest on May 10th, 2026, in Las Vegas. She spent most of her life in Long Beach, California where she built lifelong friendships and memories with those she loved most.

Barbie was the beloved daughter of Faataitai So’o and Punitia Atuatasi, and a loving mother to her daughter, Orchid Martharose Faataitai Simpkins, who was the center of her world. She is survived by her mother, her siblings, and her many nieces and nephews, affectionately known by her as her “kidz.”

Barbie was known for her fun spirit, loving heart, and deep love for rock music. Music was one of the many ways she expressed herself and connected with others. Whether she was listening to her favorite songs, laughing with family, or spending time with the people she loved, Barbie brought energy and warmth wherever she went.

She will be remembered for her love, her personality, and the special bond she shared with her family and friends. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
