Betty Jane Strietelmeier

Betty Jane Strietelmeier (nee Colgate) was born August 2, 1928 in Urbana, Illinois.
She passed away July 7th, 2021 after a short illness. She is survived by nephews Rick and Phil Kimler of Illinois. She had numerous friends and was a confident to many in her Las Vegas "family".
Betty married Harold (Dutch) Strietelmeier in September 1958 and they moved to Las Vegas in 1961. He preceded her in death in 1991. Betty worked for Collection Bureau of Southern Nevada and retired from Nevada Federal Credit Union.
She was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran and was a member of the LWML, Lutheran school education committees and other fellowship groups.
Betty and her husband Dutch traveled the world extensively on cruises and motorhomes.
She was a long standing member of the local Gamblin' Ramblers & Coyotes camping group. She was an active participant in Senior Activities at Parkdale Recreation Center until recent Covid events ended activities.
Services will be at Redeemer Lutheran Church located at 1730 N. Pecos Rd, Thursday, July 22nd, at 10 AM. Viewing will be 9 AM—10 AM. Internment will be at Veteran's Cemetery in Boulder City at 9:20 on Monday, July 26th. Memorials can be sent to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
