Billy Powell

Billy F Powell, 77, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015. He was born Nov. 19, 1937, in Morton, Miss. He was a bellman for over 20 years and was also a veteran in the U.S. Army. He loved playing pool and had many trophies to prove it. Billy's favorite thing was placing sports bets and talking sports with his friends at Jerry's Nugget. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 52 years, Louise; his children, Anthony, Rodney, Derwin, Tara, and Tracie; grandchildren, Ishia, Deandre, Devin and Tarmisha; and nine great-grandchildren. Billy will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be 4-8 pm. Friday, Sept. 25. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, both at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N., Las Vegas. Burial will be at 1:20 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at the Southern Nevada Veteran Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
