BLAYNE TREASE U.S. Army, Retired Blayne Levi Trease, 69, of Las Vegas, passed away Sept. 14, 2011. He was born June 16, 1942, in Utah, and was a 40-year resident of Nevada. Blayne retired from the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was married, but recently, lost his beautiful wife, Julia Mae, after 23 years of wedded bliss. He will be missed by all his wonderful pets, family and friends of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a proud recipient of the Bronze Star Medal and a Purple Heart from his time in Vietnam. He was a very kind and caring man that will be missed by all who knew him. Blayne was preceded in death by both of his parents; and his wife, Julia Mae Trease, Jan. 15, 2011. Viewing will be 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd. in Boulder City. Donations can be made to the local chapter of the Nevada SPCA.
