Brian Wheelock Davis was born on January 29, 1956 in Rochester, New York to Lawrence W. Davis and Elizabeth J. Wheelock.
Brian attended grammar school at Sacred Heart School and high school at John Marshall High School in Rochester, NY. He achieved an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Community College of the Air Force.
He joined the United States Air Force in February 1974 and attended school for Navigational Aids in Biloxi, MS where he met his wife of 37 years Gwendolyn A. Wright.
Brian retired from the Air Force in March 1994 after 20 years of dedicated service. He worked for Viking Freight Systems and PACCAR Parts before becoming employed by Las Vegas Metro Police department as an Electronics Maintenance Technician. He truly loved his job and all the people he came in contact with.
Brian had many passions which included his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle and the love of the open road. He loved traveling, hiking, fishing, and gold prospecting. Above all he was the quintessential family man that loved more than anything spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Gwendolyn Davis of Las Vegas; son Brian Kubis and wife Frieda of Etowah, NC; daughter Nora Wheeler of Las Vegas, son Jason Davis and wife Samantha of Oakridge, TN; and son Joshua Davis of Las Vegas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Brook Kubis, Connor Davis, Jacob Wheeler, Brianna Kubis, Dylan Wheeler, Nick Flerl, Kayden Davis and three great-granddaughters Mary, Julia and Rachel Flerl. He is also survived by parents Lawrence and Elizabeth Davis, brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Rose Davis, of Rochester NY, Mike and Viki Davis of Honeyoye, NY, Jeff and Michele Davis, of Great Falls, MT, sisters and brothers-in-law Cindy and Joe Stratton and Wendy and Shane Rodell and sister-in-law Karol Wright and brother-in-law Larry Wright.
