Carol Ann Wolf, age 87 of Redondo Beach, California passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born Carol Ann Klein to Solomon and Sonia Klein at the Burbank Hospital on January 31, 1939. Carol grew up in Glendale and Los Angeles. She attended Hollywood High School participating on the volleyball team. She loved roller skating with her cousin Brona Dwyer. They spent endless hours at the roller rinks skate dancing together. During her senior year, Carol met her future husband, Robert Borden.

Upon graduation, Carol and Bob married on May 19, 1957. After Bob completed his service in the Navy, the two moved to Northridge, Ca in the San Fernando Valley. Together, they had two children, Michael Benjamin Borden and Nicole (Nikki) Suzanne Borden. As the children grew older, Carol soon became a soccer mom, shuttling the two to practices and games.

In 1978, Carol’s good friends encouraged her to join the Local 706 Makeup and Hair Union for the Motion Picture and Television industry. Carol was trained at the craft of body makeup, a specialty craft for makeup on actor’s bodies below the head. Women in swimsuits required body makeup to match their faces. The early years saw Carol working at Universal Studios where she shuttled from one television show to another applying her craft. Later, Carol began working on feature films, like Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2, and Demolition Man. Around 1995, the union dissolved the body makeup classification and the artists were trained to do face makeup. Carol then began to do face makeup on feature films like Waterworld, The Body Guard, and 3000 Miles to Graceland.

Bob and Carol Borden divorced in 1987. In 1991, Carol met TV/Film Property Master Gregory Wolf on a feature film. Carol and Greg lived together and then married in 1995 in Las Vegas, after buying a house there. She loved their new house and her life cooking and planning meals.

 Carol bravely fought and defeated breast cancer in 2009. In 2010 the couple moved back to Los Angeles, living in Redondo Beach to enjoy the moderate climate. Carol retired from Local 706 in 2010. As well as having a successful career, Carol was a lifelong lover of animals. She loved her dogs and swimming with dolphins.

After a five year battle, Carol succumbed to Alzheimer's Disease, complicated by her declining lungs from Asthma and COPD.

Carol was preceded in death by her father Solomon Klein, her mother Sonia (Sosnofsky) Klein, and her son Michael Benjamin Borden. She is survived by her husband Gregory Wolf, daughter Nicole Borden Schissel (Troy), Grandsons Ryan Neil (Kaitlin), Brady Neil (Julianna), Weston Schissel (Shayla), Austin Schissel, Brianna Borden Rich (Wyatt), Great Grandchildren Buckley Neil, Lillian Schissel, Hayden Neil, and more to come soon. 

She also loved her nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

A gravesite burial will take place Sunday, August 9, 2026 at 10 AM at Bunker’s Memory Garden Cemetery, 7251 West Lone Mountain Road in Las Vegas, Nevada where she will be laid to rest next to her son, Michael. 

A private celebration of Life will be planned in the near future in Los Angeles with the date to be determined.
