Carolyn Daisy Martoccia-McCue, 88, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 10, 2011. Carolyn was born May 28, 1923, in Buffalo, N.Y., and was a 50-year resident of Las Vegas. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will always be in our hearts. In 1941, she married Donald A. Martoccia. They had five children together, daughters, Barbara A. Newport-Thompson of Hurricane, Utah, Margaret (Margie) L. English of Las Vegas, sons, John A. Martoccia of Boise, Idaho, Michael L. (Patricia) Martoccia and Shannon L. Martoccia, all of Las Vegas. She was widowed in 1978. She married Richard D. McCue in 1980 until widowed in 2000. Carolyn worked as an optical assistant and secretary with Dr. Samuel Davis O.D. for over 20 years. After retiring, she worked as a legal office assistant in the district attorney's office. She was active in the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association and was considered the "baby" of the group. As a homemaker, she enjoyed arts and crafts and traveling. She has 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11:30-12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21, with services following at 1 p.m., both at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas, Blvd. N.
