CATHERINE REED Catherine "Kay" Reed, 98, passed away June 29, 2015. While living in California, Kay's brothers introduced her to the one and only love of her life, Harley Reed, who passed away in 2004. Together, they moved to Las Vegas in 1947. Kay found her true passion in design work at Bertha's Home Furnishings. Among her clients, she developed many true friendships, a very special one with Liberace. Kay was known for entertaining in her home, the old art of writing cards and letters, and her love of formal dressing. She is survived by her sons, Ron and Phil; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. An open house in Kay's honor will be at her home 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 17.
