CMSGT. CHARLES PARNHAM U.S. Air Force, Retired Charles Parnham, 89, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully March 16, 2017, at home. He was born Sept. 5, 1927, in Goshen, N.Y., and grew up in New Jersey, where he met Anne Memminger and married her May 23, 1953. Charles retired from the U.S. Air Force as Chief Master Sergeant in 1977 after 28 one-half years of service to our country. After he retired from the Air Force, Charles earned degrees in hotel and casino management and worked security at a hotel on the strip until he fully retired in 1987. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Cecilia; wife, Anne; sister, Sr. Loraine Parnham; brothers, George and Thomas; and daughter, Barbara Schnaubelt. He is survived by his two daughters, Teresa Parnham and Susan Gestring (Gene); grandsons, Micheal Lesperance (Anna), Justin Lesperance (Cherisse) and Eric Schnaubelt (Darcy); and great-grandsons, Lucas Lesperance and Logan Lesperance. Charles will always be remembered for his kindness and being a "true gentleman." And always be remembered as "Pop Pop" by is great-grandchildren. Burial will be private at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City.
