Cindy M. Mahoney

CINDY MAHONEY Cindy Marie Mahoney, 50, a vet tech and homemaker, of Las Vegas, passed away June 18, 2014. She was born Aug. 1, 1963, in La Mirada, Calif., and was a 48-year resident of Nevada. A long-time Las Vegas resident and graduate of Valley High School, she was a loving mother, cherished wife and friend to many. Cindy spent over 20 years at Desert Inn Animal Hospital, but stopped working to raise her daughter. Although Cindy stopped working, her duties as a vet tech to her friends and family never ended. Hundreds of hours were spent caring for the dogs, cats, birds and other critters in need of her help, no matter the day, hour or how she may have been feeling. Cindy supported her family and was there for them no matter what the adventure was. Cindy loved the beach, mountains, lake Mead, desert racing or whatever the next stop was that would bring the family and friends together. She will be missed forever by her family, friends and animals. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert A. Biebel; and brother, Robert J. Biebel, aka "Bobby". She is survived by her husband, Ed Mahoney; daughter, Haley Ann Mahoney; mother, Peggy Lee Biebel; brother, Tracy A. Biebel; nephew, Corey Torres; nieces, Stephanie Coleman (Seth) and Jennifer McIntosh (Jason); grandmother, Jane W. Williams; mother-in-law, Heather A. Mahoney; father-in-law, Edward J. Mahoney Sr.; favorite sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Victor Torres; and close friends too countless to list individually. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 26, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd N.
