Claire Anderson

Claire Jones Anderson, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 29, 2016. She was born Aug. 2, 1922, the daughter of the late Jessie and Chester Jones, in Susquehanna, Pa., was a resident of Las Vegas since 1952 and a former resident of Hawaii prior to returning to Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester P. Anderson; and her brother, Loren Jones. She retired from the U.S. Government, Office of the Commander in Chief, United States Navy, Honolulu. She was a member of South Gate Chapter 18, Order of Eastern Star and of El Giza Temple 139, Daughters of the Nile. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Vegas Lodge, 632 E. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89104. Donations may be made to  Shriner's Hospitals for Children at Zelzah Shrine Center, 2313 S.
