Clovis Streeten Nash

March 21, 1948 — May 7, 2026

On Thursday afternoon, May 07, 2026, God reached down and called a faithful servant home. We have lost a protector and a guide; a man whose hands built our foundation and whose heart was our home. He has answered the final call and now rests in the presence of the Lord. He took a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and godfather to live in her eternal home. 

Mr. Clovis S. Nash was born on March 21, 1948, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to the late Streeten Nash and Theresa (Stephens) Grant. He was the first child of four children born. Clovis moved to Las Vegas, Nevada at an early age. Clovis attended Rancho High School. He worked for gaming industry as a Dealer at Sands Casino, New York New York Casino, and Boulder Stations Casino for over 45 years. He was enthusiastic about his well-kept yard, it was more than just grass; it is a deep personal source of pride, a canvas for creative expression, and a rhythmic, meditative escape from stress. Clovis confessed Christ as his Savior at an early age. He was united in Holy Matrimony with Ollie McDonald on December 10, 1971, and was married for 50th years. Clovis had five children, after marriage he joined Grace Immanuel Baptist Church He remained a devoted and humble member for years.

 He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters: Ms. Joann Burt of Georgetown KY , Ms. Cheryl Hawkins and Ms. Kyla Nash of Las Vegas NV, two sons: Mr. William (Myrtis) Hawkins of Jackson, MS, and Mr. Kevin F. (Celeste) Eppenger Las Vegas NV ; one brother: Mr. Claude (Vanessa) Hodges of Henderson NV ; one sister Ms. Murenice Walker of Wichita, KS: Ten grandchildren Mr. Kevin A. (Trelisa) Eppenger, Ms. Kiara Eppenger, Ms. Khashae Eppenger, Mr. Kameron Eppenger, Courtney (Terran) Phyfer of Las Vegas NV, Ms. Kyla Hawkins of Pelahatchie, MS, Mr. Jason Sanders St. Louis MO, Ms. Monica Sanders of Shelbyville, KY: Ms. Kylon Gunn of Killeen, Ms. Willow Hawkins of Jackson MS: one godson Mr. Robert Hicks of Las Vegas NV: fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Streeten Nash and Theresa (Stephens) Grant; his beloved wife Ollie Nash, stepfather: Louis Grant, one sister Connie Johson, two grandchildren: Erika and Daris Sanders, One great grandchild Nayla Gunn.
