Cora Norene Canfield, 79, passed away on October 2,2006. She was born on January 10,1927 in Springdale, Utah. Her parents were Oscar Irad DeMille and Mildred Jolley. She lived in Rockville and Springdale in her youth.
She met her husband, Leo Hall Canfield, while she was working in Mesquite, as a waitress at Vondas Cafe. She lived in St. George, Utah, Pioche and Cedar City, Utah and in the summer of 1953, they moved to Las Vegas where they retired from Nellis Air Force Base in 1974. Then they moved to St. George and shared a home with Leo's sister Tarma Fairchild in Pine Valley, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; sister, Nadine Darling; and brother, Forrest DeMille.
She is survived by her brother, Robert De Mille, sisters; Zella Erickson and Helen Brunson; her children, Nedra Daily, Bradley Canfield(Donna Abbott), and Noreen Huddleston(Joe Huddelston); eight grandchildren, Bobbie and Robbie, Wright, Eugene, Jaydon and Blair Canfield, Jeff, Michael and Jason Huddleston; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Cora was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was sealed to her spouse in the St. George temple for time and eternity. Next to her family, the church was one of Cora's great loves. She served faithfully in many church callings, primary, relief society president, and relief society president at the Las Vegas Indian Branch.
