DALE VISSER Father, husband, soldier, rancher, farmer, hunter, fisherman, county employee, church member, Dale Visser played many roles in his 88 years. He went to be with God June 16. Dale was born on a Montana ranch in 1923. He grew up with a love of hunting and fishing. His role in World War II was that of an army radioman serving in Europe. After graduating from Montana State University, he ranched and worked as a tax assessor in Newport, Washington. At the age of 40, he moved his family to Las Vegas to be closer to his sister, Jeanette, leaving the snow shovels behind. Working for the Clark County Assessor's Office, he met many of his closest friends, bowling and hunting partners, and Vivian Noel, who became his best friend and long-time companion. Dale had sadness in his life, two wives and his stepson, Harold, and stepdaughter, Phyl, passed away too early. In his later years, this drove him to become focused on the value of family, hosting as many as he could gather at his daughter's vacation home on Flathead Lake. Multiple generations of relatives strengthened relationships or met for the first time as they visited Grandpa Dale. Dale leaves behind Vivian; sons and daughters, Randy, Ilene, and Bruce; and many grandchildren. Viewing will be 2-6 p.m., Monday, July 9, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 4201 W. Washington Ave., Las Vegas. All are invited.
