Daniel H. Pierson

U.S. Navy, Retired Daniel H. Pierson, 64, a life-time resident of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday, Aug. 24, 2012. He was born May 29, 1948. Daniel was retired from the U.S. Navy and from the Union Pacific Railroad. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his father, Wylie F. Pierson. Daniel is survived by his mother, Mary Mace of St. George, Utah; brother, Lloyd Pierson (Carmina) of Las Vegas; three nieces, Kristie Atchley (Michael) of Las Vegas, Bonnie Gray (Jim) of Sparks, and Heidi Heath (Dell) of Indian Springs; and seven great-nephews and great-nieces. Services will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road.
