David Lee Lancaster, age 76, passed away in Las Vegas Nevada, on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Born April 28, 1938, in Las Vegas, Nevada, he was honorably discharaged from US Navy, and after 44 years of service at the Nevada Test Site he retired in 2008 from National Nuclear Administration (NSTec). He and and his loving wife, Anita E. Lancaster, resided in Nevada and New Mexico. Dave was an avid reader, loved to paint portraits, enjoyed history channel and loved playing dominos and cards with friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death, by parents, Venis Lancaster and Bess Lancaster-Napolin. son, Darrin lancaster, his grandparents and uncles, close cousins, Jack Crane, Bobby Crane , Marion Freeman, Ken Freeman. Survivors include; his wife Anita E. Lancaster, sons, David Lancaster, jr. and family, Derek Lancaster and family, grandchildren in Texas, cousin June Thielde whom he grew up with, and cousin Kay Jean Neeld, numerous blended family members.
Grave side services and burial will be held at 10:40 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at the Veterans Memorial Cemetary, 1900 Buchanan Blvd, Boulder City, Nevada
