David W. Zickafoose Sr.

MSGT. DAVID ZICKAFOOSE SR. U.S. Air Force, Retired David Wayne Zickafoose, 63, of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away Dec. 13, 2011, due to complication from kidney disease. He was born Aug. 23, 1948, in Huntington, Ind., and was a two-year resident of Nevada. David was a member of the security police in the U.S. Air Force. He served in Vietnam and received two Purple Hearts during his military service. He married Hye Cha in Seoul Korea, March 24, 1972. They had their son, David Wayne Zickafoose Jr., March 15, 1977 in Korea. David retired from the service in 1988. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Zickafoose; and father, Clarence Zickafoose. David is survived by his wife, Hye Cha Zickafoose; son, David Wayne Zickafoose Jr.; daughter-in-law, Lisa Zickafoose; and grandson, Logan Paul Zickafoose. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd. Donations can be made to 745 Anchor Way, Carlsbad, CA 92008.
