DEAN FREIERMUTH Dean Freiermuth, 66, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017. He was born February 26, 1951, in San Francisco, California, to Paul and Alice Freiermuth. In 1971, Dean graduated with an AA Degree from City College of San Francisco. He continued his education at San Jose State University and graduated with a BA Degree in 1973. He then started his teaching career in Cupertino, California. Dean moved to Las Vegas in 1978 to work for the Clark County School District and teach woodshop. In 1981, he received his Masters of Education Degree from UNLV. While bowling in a teachers' league, he met and later married his one true love, Carole. After a 30-year career teaching Industrial Arts at Bridger Middle School, Orr Middle School, Las Vegas High School, Peterson Academic Center, and Arbor View High School, Dean retired in 2007. To keep busy, he then worked at Ace Hardware for a few years. He loved doing woodworking projects, playing slots, and driving his 1957 Chevy BelAir. He was also an avid Golden State Warriors, San Francisco Giants, and San Francisco 49er fan. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Freiermuth. He is survived by his wife, Carole; children, Paul and Kathryn; sister, Lynne (Frank) Cambou; nephews, Scott (Megan) Freiermuth, Todd (Jenny) Freiermuth and Randy (Michele) Cambou; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Boulevard N., Las Vegas, NV 89101. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dean's name to a favorite charity . Dean touched many lives throughout his years and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
