DeVon Anderson passed away peacefully in his home August 1, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones. DeVon was born June 14, 1937 in Huntington, Utah to Clayton and Theone Anderson. He was the second oldest son out of their four children. He married Linda Lee Brewer on October 8, 1957 and was later sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Utah temple in May of 1964. Devon and Linda moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and raised 7 children together. Family was the most important thing to him.
He mastered all phases of construction and was a member of the Carpenters Union for nearly 60 years. He set the example of hard work for his family and passed that trait along to his children. He happily served in scouting for decades and shared his skills and knowledge with many. He loved to explore the backroads of Nevada and would take his children on many adventures on long dirt roads and to ghost towns. He loved to camp, fish, and hunt. He loved the outdoors. He loved to be in his backyard, fiddling around on one of his many projects.
He had a big smile, with a booming laugh and was kind to everyone he met. DeVon found good in all. He loved to play the harmonica, sing, go to church, attend the temple, and LOVED missionary work. He was always ready to share his testimony. DeVon was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a true disciple of Jesus Christ.
DeVon is survived by his siblings; Gary (Earlene) Anderson, Ronald (Karla) Anderson, and Launa (Donn) Kienholz. His 7 children; Tammie (Columbus) Coleman, Buck (Denise) Anderson, Jeff (Echo) Anderson, Lorra (Louie) De La Barcena, Amy Davila, Travis (Lennie) Anderson, and Linda Lee. Numerous grand/great grand/great great grand children. And his current wife Mona Anderson, of 11 years.
He is preceded in death by his eternal companion, Linda Lee Anderson, his parents, and grandson, Justin Anderson.
