Donald Lynn Cox II, "Lynn," "Bubba," 45, of Las Vegas, passed away Sept. 10, 2012. He was born in Flagstaff, Ariz., Oct. 3, 1966. Lynn grew up in Buckeye, Ariz., on five acres, where he rode bikes and horses, raised animals, went ditch sliding, spent time with his pets and friends, was active in boy scouts and 4H, worked on cars, learned electrical, drywall and mechanics, played pop warner and high school football and went to an occasional desert party with his friends. He also loved dogs, hunting and fishing as a kid. He moved to Las Vegas when he was 22 for work as a drywaller. He had a special passion for duck hunting. He and his dogs, Ruger, Tiff and Heineken often invited family or friends to accompany them to the duck blinds which soon came to be known as "Bubbaland." He also found a brotherhood in his motorcycle club that meant so much to him. He had a special bond with his nieces and nephew, spending time four-wheeling, racing go carts, hanging out with the dogs and teaching them how to drive a stick shift with his big truck. If you knew and loved Lynn/Bubba, you were blessed. That means you have at least one humorous story to give you some laughter to help comfort you in your loss. If you were fortunate to hear any of his famous quotes "love you more," "leaverright," "let the grazing begin," "hurt my heart," and "I can see your lips moving, but I can't hear anything," then you were truly blessed. He is survived by his mother, Wanda "Sue;" his father, Don; sister, Jeanne; nieces, Janet and Nicole; nephew, Eddie; dogs, Tiff and Heineken; and many friends and extended family. Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, at Canyon Ridge Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas, NV 89130. A ride will immediately follow, ending at FOE, 1601 E Washington Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89101. If you had the glory of knowing Lynn/Bubba, please bring photos and stories to share in his life.
