Dorothy D'Costa

On July 11 2022, Dorothy D'Costa entered the Kingdom of Heaven. Her memory and spirit will live on with her two sons, three granddaughters, three great-grandchildren, and her entire family.

Dorothy was born in Gorakphur, India on July 16, 1938. In her early years, Dorothy aspired to become a nurse. In 1970, she traveled alone to New York City with ten dollars in her purse and a nursing degree. She worked tirelessly to bring her husband and two sons to America in 1971.

Over the years of her career as a Registered Nurse, Dorothy worked incredibly hard to pursue the American dream. She also helped many family members immigrate to America to pursue their dreams.

Dorothy followed this simple yet powerful principle; if you do your best to be good to yourself and others with joy and love in your heart, our Almighty Father will bless you with abundance. Her deep faith in God has provided a life full of blessings. As Dorothy always said to everyone in her life, "I love you. God go with you."

Her duty in caring for others, devotion to every member of her family, and a lifetime of faith in God were what made Dorothy D'Costa one of the most loving, courageous, kind, and beautiful people we've been blessed to have in our lives.

Eternal rest grant unto Dorothy O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
