Dorothy Jean Tindle, 94, passed peacefully September 18, 2017 in her Reno home. She was born April 5, 1923 to the late Albert Orville Blackburn and Lillian Robertson in Weatherby, Missouri. Everyone that knew Dorothy loved her and thought she was a joy. She spent the majority of her adult years in Las Vegas. She was a beloved grocery checker at Safeway and an amazingly successful Avon Representative. She was preceded in death by brothers, Harry, Harold, Homer, and Albert; husband, Leon; and son, Benny Clyde. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Sherritt; granddaughter, Shawna (Joe) Laxague; grandson, Ken Clyde; great-grandchildren Ryan, Dominic, and Julianna; great-great-grandchildren, Quinn and Rylan. Service will be held at11 a.m. Saturday, October 7th with a 10 a.m. viewing at Bunker's Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd.
