Edwin Leo Baumeister

Edwin Leo Baumeister, 80, of North Las Vegas, passed away Oct. 17, 2013. Ed was born May 25, 1933, in McIntosh, S.D., and was raised in NW South Dakota. Ed was a 54-year resident of Las Vegas. Ed served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Ed worked as a truck driver, spending 35 years as a Local 631 Teamster with WMK Transit Mix. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, of 57 years, Eva, who died in August; and his oldest son, Roland, whom he lost in 1988. Ed is survived by his sons, Eldon and John; grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon, Lauren and Jakob; his brother, Jim; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at 9-11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, with funeral services following, both at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N.
