Eugneia Dalacas

Eugenia Dalacas, 88, passed away peacefully Feb. 15, 2017, at home. Eugenia was born Jan. 21, 1929, in Levidi, Arcadia, Greece, to Mihalis Megremis and Maritza Kolliopoulos. She immigrated with her brother to Las Vegas in 1960 to reunite with her mother and sisters, to whom she was very close. In 1961, she married Anthony Dalacas and they were married for 50 years until his death in 2011. They raised a family together, were employed in the service industry and worked side-by-side in the restaurants they owned and operated. Eugenia's true pride and joy was her family, whom she loved mightily and cared for with quiet strength and dignity. She was the epitome of motherly kindness and love and she will be truly missed. Eugenia was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; brother, Peter Tsouras; and sisters, Dina Kelesis and Kalliope Pappas. She is survived by her son, Demetrios Dalacas; daughter and son-in-law, Elene and George Mylordos; granddaughter, Evyenia Mylordos; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. May her memory be eternal. Viewing will be 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, with Trisagion service following. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, all at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 El Camino Road. Burial following at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1500 Las Vegas Blvd. N.
