The man who put his heart into everything:

To Eun Bum Lee, there was never such a thing as half-hearted. Eun Bum Lee was a man whose hands never ceased and body never wavered when it came to everything he put his heart to. Half-heartedness was never an option for him; he chose to live life with nothing to regret and to be faithful. 

Eun Lee and his wife, Hyo Lee, would regularly go on coffee dates on their days off. He and his wife were not very good at English, so their movie genre of choice was action movies. Action movies may not have a lengthy, wordy script, but the story can be felt through the intentions and actions of the characters. Eun Lee would see the main character face every impossible obstacle or challenge and never falter, and overcome by giving their everything.

 Possibly nothing else would ever describe Eun Lee better than the genre of movies he so loved. Actions will always speak louder than words. That rang true in everything he did, and that statement personifies him perfectly. Eun Lee was a husband and father who had every reason to give up and walk away, but he never gave up cultivating a family that is eternally grateful and loving. Eun Lee could have easily chosen to use his days off and not attend a church service, much less serve in every capacity, but he never gave up and was the hands of Jesus to many who needed Him. He could have easily chosen a job that was easier, but he never gave up and made the airport a second home to many in transit. He could’ve done all these things with even less effort to preserve himself, but that was just not in his nature. No, he believed that love never would mean anything less than his wholehearted attention. He was not capable of separating his hands from his heart, and half-hearted love was never in question. The man who gives everything is the man who loves with everything and leaves nothing in the tank. 

모든 일에 전심을 다하셨던 아버지 

아버지는 어떤일에도 적당히만 하시는일이없었습니다 

늘 하시는 모든 일에 전심으로 그리고 진심으로 대하시고 모범을 보이셨습니다 

모든일에 충직하셨고 성실하셨으며

후회하실것이 없는 삶을위해 늘 헌신적인 삶을 사셨습니다 

아버지와 어머니는 늘 휴일이면 함께 까페에서 커피를마시며 시간을 보내시곤 하셨는데요 

영어보다 한국어가 편하셨기에

영화를 보러가실때면 액션영화를 주로 즐겨보시곤 하셨습니다 

액션 영화는 대사가 많지 않더라도 캐릭터의 의도나 행동을 통해 스토리라인을 관찰할수있는데요 

영화속 주인공이

모든 불가능한 장애물과 도전에 맞서 결코 흔들리지 않고 온 힘을 다해 극복하는 모습을 보기 좋아하셨습니다.

아마도 아버지가 그렇게 사랑하셨던 액션영화야말로 저희 아버지를 제일 잘 설명할 수 있는 단어인것 같습니다 

아버지는 늘 말뿐이이아니라 실천하시고 행동하시는 분이셨습니다 

누구나 포기했을만한 상황에도

아버지는 가족을 위해 헌신하셨고

그것에대해 우리가족는 영원히 감사할것입니다 

쉬는날에도 예베참석하시는것에 게을리하시지않았습니다 

교회사역에 있어서도 본인의 도움이필요한 이웃을위해 한걸음에 달려가셨습니다 

직장에서도 공항을 거쳐가는 많은 이들의 편안을 위하여 최선을 다하셨습니다 

본인만을 생각하는사람이라면 절대하지못했을일들을 

아버지는 그렇게 헤내셨습니다

언제나 열정적으로

계산하지않는 사랑으로
 뜨겁게 사랑하셨습니다 

제가기억하는 

저희 아버지는 그렇게 
 모든것을 아낌없이주셨고

그렇게 다함없는사랑으로

남김없이 사랑하셨던 분입니다

겸손함이 느껴지는 집사님이셨고

가족과 이웃들에게 늘

헌신하시고 인자하셨습니다

성실하게 일하셨고 늘 부지런하셨던모습 기억하겠습니다
