Eunice Elizabeth (Nichols) Williamson, 98, died peacefully in her home Monday, April 16, 2012. Born March 4, 1914, in Eagle, Idaho, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Nellie Nichols. Eunice, a resident of Las Vegas since 1953, was a devoted wife and mother. She was the epitome of elegance and good taste. Eunice was a top Avon representative, having won several western regional sales awards. She was also quite the avid sports lady, both player and fan of basketball and snow skiing. She loved to dance and was always the first choice as a dance partner in the 1930's era. She looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her face would light up whenever she saw them. Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Williamson; her son, Douglas; her sister, Nedra "Dolly" Peterson; and brother, Hugh Francis "Jack" Nichols. She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Jim) Peterson; grandchildren, Jamie (Kirk) Metz of Durango, Colo., Louis (Darlene) Baker, and Holly Mortensen; great-grandchildren, Colby and Christopher Mortensen, Chloe, Katrine, and Isabella Baker and Kylee Metz; as well as numerous extended family members. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m., Friday, April 27. Viewing again 10-11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, with memorial services following, all at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N.
