EVELYN MARIE “PENNY” LATHAM

Evelyn Marie Latham, nick name Penny, passed away on May 14, 2026.

Penny was born on November 4, 1945 to Harold and Elenore Case in Oxnard, California. Penny’s mother passed away while Penny was in elementary school. She was raised by her adopted mother Dorothy Case (Fischer).

Penny was raised in the Venture-Oxnard area along with her two sisters and brother. After graduating from business school, Penny went to Hawaii for 2 years to soak up the sun on the beach of Waikiki. After returning to the mainland, Penny resided in California working at various jobs.

While she said she would never live in Las Vegas, she found herself here in 1982 and never left. She worked as a twenty-one dealer at several casinos and as a Payroll Specialist for EOB of Clark County where she met her husband, Keith.

Penny was proceeded in death by her father Harold, mother Elenore, adopted mother Dorothy, brother Jim Case and bother in law Michael Pitcher.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years Keith Latham, sister Ginger Pitcher of Ventura, California, sister Diane Kaperna (George) of Klingertown, Pennsylvania, son Jason Silver, fiancé Kayla Cox, and twin granddaughters Tara and Abry Silver all of Reedley, California and son Thomas Silver Jr. and grandson Aiden Silver of Lake Havasu, Arizona.

She is also survived by stepsons Christoper (Tina), Steve (Amity), Tracy and Robert (Emily) and step granddaughter Malia Latham all of Las Vegas.
