In celebration of Fermin Montoya, loving father, husband, best friend and mentor, who peacefully departed Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at 8:15 p.m. with family and friends by his side. He is survived by daughters, Elizabeth and Tina Marie; sons, Tim and Ron; nephew, John-John; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Fermin was a dedicated officer of the law, completing his bachelors degree in criminal science. He retired from Clark County Juvenile Court Services as police school liaison officer. He went on to open a successful family business in 1982, American Shooters Supply Gun Club, for 27 years. His endless wisdom, guidance and leadership, not only for his family friends, but for everyone he met, will be his legacy for years to come. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Sunday Nov. 4, at Bali Hai Golf Club in the Cili Restaurant. In lieu of flowers for memorial services, the family requests monetary donations for the VelMont Family Trust Fund, which will be donated to Fermin's favorite charity.
