Franklin Delano Ellis, 92, passed away on October 24, 2026. Born on August 7, 1934, in Sparkman, Arkansas, to Newton and Jamye Ellis, Franklin grew up with his older sister, Minnie Dale, and his younger siblings, George, Danford, and Emma. Franklin lived a life defined by service to his country, devotion to his family, and a lasting commitment to building a legacy that would continue for generations.
Franklin proudly served 20 years in the United States Air Force. During his military career, he traveled to several foreign countries and was stationed in Guam, Germany, Japan, and Okinawa before eventually settling in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In 1954, Franklin married his lifelong partner, Josie Ellington. Their marriage was built on love, commitment, and family. Josie preceded him in death in June 2022, and he carried her memory with him throughout his life.
Together, Franklin and Josie raised their two children, eldest son David and youngest daughter Robin. His family continued to grow to include his grandchildren, David, Dana, Natasha, Sara, and Evan, as well as his great-grandchildren, Ashton, Skylar, Hunter, Olivia, and Logan.
Beyond his military service, Franklin helped build Communication Electronic Systems, a family business that continues to operate today. His dedication, hard work, and vision helped establish a legacy that extends beyond his lifetime. The business stands as a testament to his determination and the lasting foundation he helped create for his family.
Franklin will be remembered for his service, his dedication to those he loved, and the enduring impact he made through both his family and his life's work.
May Franklin Delano Ellis be remembered with honor and love for his service to his country, his devotion to his family, and the enduring legacy he leaves behind.
