George Adamczyk

GEORGE ADAMCZYK George A. Adamczyk, 69, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011, with his wife and daughters by his side. Born in Poland, raised in Jersey City, N.J., he served in the U.S. Army after his high school graduation. He was employed as a project manager for United Parcel Service for 27 years. He resided in Lyndhurst, N.J., until his retirement in 1996, when he moved to Las Vegas. He was a lifelong Yankees fan. George is survived by his wife, of almost 45 years, Dorine; daughters, Mary Hughett and Diane Johnson; their husbands, Howard and Wesley; five grandchildren, Greg, Carl, Samantha, Dayna and Luke; two great-grandchildren; as well as his brother, Andrew; and sister, MaryAnn. Viewing will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, with services immediately following at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
