George Benjamin Kline Jr., 66, of Las Vegas, transitioned from this life into his Eternal home with the Lord Tuesday, June 14, 2016. George was born May 11, 1950, to Deacon George B. and Mrs. Minnie Lee (nee Cannon) Kline, in Tallulah, La. George accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Pastor Reverend E.C. Kline and where he has remained a member. He attended Westside Elementary School and later graduated from Clark High School. He served in the U.S. Army. George later attended Houston Junior College, where he was the student body vice president. George worked as a laborer at the Nevada Test Site for many years until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his son, Garnell G. Kline; mother, Minnie Lee Cannon Kline; father, George B. Kline Sr.; and brother, Gary Theodore Kline. He leaves to continue in this life, brothers, Harrison Kline III of Portland, Ore., Joseph V. (Cheree) Kline of Salem, Ore., Albert L. Kline, Gabriel (Evelyn) Kline and Ronald K. (Ana) Kline, all of Las Vegas; sister, Shirley L. (Louis) Cannon of Murrieta, Calif., and Janice L. Kline of Reno; and host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams. Graveside service following, at Bunkers Eden Vale Cemetery, 1216 Las Vegas Blvd. N.
