George Thomas Owens

HE WAS ONE OF THE GOOD GUYS.

George Thomas Owens, 85 a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He passed away April 14, 2022.

He was born March 21, 1937 in Wills Point Texas.

He joined the USMC in April 1954 and the US Air Force in 1958.

He retired from the casino industry in 1998, but more than that he was a “medicine man”, when anybody had a health problem, he did a research to find the solution. He also enjoyed windsurfing at Lake Mead.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Montage and Daisy Owens; 6 siblings; Monte Jean, Kelton Levere, Billie Mildred, John Edward, Patrick Joseph, and Mary Alice. And his son George Thomas (Tommy).

He is survived by his wife Isela, Sons Jeff (Mary), Jose (Christine) and Juan Miguel (Dejolea) and 10 grandkids: Jeremy, Devan, Zac, Makeila, Jack, Alakai, Sonye, Julian, Miguel, King and Sevyn and two great grandkids Elijah and Dillan. And his best friend Allen Britron. Also a host of nephews and nieces.

Services will be held @ 4p.m. June 17th at St. Christopher Catholic Church.

Graveside Service will be held @ 8:30a.m. June 21st at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
