Georgene Buck

GEORGENE BUCK Georgene "Jackie" Bowler Buck, 88, passed away June 30, 2015, in Las Vegas. She was born July 13, 1926, in Las Vegas, to George H. and Nancy Holt Bowler. She was preceded in death by her son, James Cameron Maguet; and her husband, of 28 years, Edmund E. Buck. She is survived by one son, Glenn Maguet (Karen) of Corbin, Ky.; and stepdaughter, Sally Carll (Tim) of Phoenix; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she faithfully served in many callings including a church mission in Australia from 1997-1999. Georgene was active in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Lone Mountain Camp and an active member of the Spring Mountain Republican Women's Club. During her working career she was an executive secretary and administrative assistant for Kemper Insurance Co. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 11, followed by services, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7401 Smoke Ranch Road, Las Vegas. Interment will be at Bunkers Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
