GREGORY BAHORSKI Gregory Paul Bahorski, 57, a retired teacher with the Clark County School District, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 8, 2012. He was born March 1, 1954 in Detroit and was a 24-year resident of Nevada. Greg had a good sense of humor and was so creative in many areas. He always had some project in the works, be it something for the house, a water color painting, or an account of our travels. Greg was a thoughtful and giving man. He sent out monthly newsletters to family and friends. He always put others before himself. It is fitting that Greg would choose teaching as his profession. He started his career in Michigan. He taught at Louis, the King Catholic School, then moved to teaching little ones at Head Start. He taught for nine years in Michigan before applying in Las Vegas. He was hired and moved to Las Vegas in 1987 to teach in the Clark County School District. Greg taught close to 25 years in Las Vegas. He has taught at Sunrise Acres, Martin Luther King, Lake, Cunningham, Herr, Camberio, Kirk Adams, Hayes, Red Rock, Ruth Fyfe, and Twin Lakes. His professional side was all business. "Mr. B.", as he is known in the teaching world, made sure his kids enjoyed coming to school. He taught them the importance of learning and helped them develop a love of reading. Mr. B. loved putting on programs for the parents and office staff. The kids loved singing and performing. These little programs helped build their self-esteem. Mr. B. certainly has impacted the lives of hundreds of children. Last May, he received a graduation announcement from a former kindergartner. This young lady was graduating with a law degree from Harvard. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Bahorski. He is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Judy; father, John E. Bahorski of Sterling Heights, Mich.; sister, Denise (Daniel) Kluck of Sterling Heights; brothers, Geary of Royal Oak, Mich., John (Carie) of Long Beach, Calif., and Jeffrey (Maryann) of Sterling Heights; mother-in-law, Ngon Yee Wong; brothers-in-law, Roy and Ted of Las Vegas; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N.
