Harle Elwyn Winslow, a.k.a. "Win," was called home to Heaven Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at Mountain View Hospital, due to heart complications. He was born June 30, 1929, in Baring, Maine, to Harle & Maud Winslow. In 1947, he was the youngest to have a pilot's license in the state of Maine. Win went on to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force for 12 years and served in the Korean War. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley, in 1950. Win's strongest values were love of family, God and his country. After 28 years, he retired from the Nevada Test Site. During his retirement, he loved to golf, fly radio controlled airplanes, and play many types of cards. He was preceded in death by his father; mother; and brother, Raymond Winslow. Win is survived by his sister, Nadine Stanhope; wife, of 64 years, Shirley Winslow; son, Gary Winslow, and his wife, Mary; daughters, Debra Fry, and her husband, Tim, and Vicky Decker; six grandchildren and their spouses, Natasha and Devin Rummelhoff, Stacy and Justin Cable, Joe and Mindy Winslow, Derek and Stacey Decker, Cory and Jennifer Fry, and Amy Winslow; along with 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8601 Del Webb Blvd. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Mountain View Presbyterian Church.
