Hazel Lamoreaux

HAZEL LAMOREAUX Hazel Mae Stembridge Lamoreaux, April 1920 - February 2014. Hazel was born April 2, 1924, in Shawnee, Okla. She passed away Feb. 3, 2014, in Las Vegas. She was married to Orien H. Lamoreaux for 70 years. Hazel was a high achiever, accomplishing much in her distinguished life. In addition to being a mother and wife, she wrote and sold children's stories and became a talented artist. She acquired her bachelor's and master's at UNLV, and was active in her church and community. She also taught for many years, leaving behind a legacy of well-adjusted and lovingly educated children. Orien preceded her in death. She is survived by her six children; 24 grandchildren; and 62 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by them all. Viewing will be 11 a.m.-noon Friday, Feb. 7, with funeral services following, both at LDS chapel, 1707 S. Sloan Lane, Las Vegas.
